About Us

Located just 90 minutes from Tokyo, this Hostel & Co-Living facility is ideal for digital nomads and long-term stays or dual-base living, only a 4-minute walk from the Kagura Tashiro Ski Resort Gondola Station, where you can enjoy the powder snow of the iconic Mt. Naeba.

Situated in the Joshinetsu National Park, this facility allows you to experience nature throughout all four seasons.

On days of fresh snowfall, enjoy backcountry adventures or snowboarding in the backyard and be the first to hit the slopes at the Kagura Tashiro ski area—an ideal setting for the ultimate nomadic lifestyle.

Our remote working community

Perfectly equipped for chill time after snow and work, the facility offers:

High-speed Wi-Fi, a coworking space suitable for business registrations, meeting rooms & telework booths,

"KAIDO-BOOKS" with a curated collection of books about travel and mountains, a spring-fed pool & sauna (currently under construction),

and Mongolian ger tents imported directly from Mongolia, creating a chaotic yet inspiring environment in the heart of satoyama (Japanese countryside).

The accommodation offers a variety of rooms to suit different needs, from dormitories with workspace and social areas to private rooms for groups.

Futai Location

Located in Futai, Echigo-Yuzawa, at the foot of the iconic Mt. Naeba and within the Joshinetsu National Park.

This area, steeped in the culture of travel, has long served as a post town on the Mikuni Kaido, a historical route connecting Kanto and Echigo.

At THE ITAYA and KAIDO VILLAGE, we carry on this enduring Kaido culture while creating a new era of Kaido experiences. Initiatives include welcoming digital nomads, hosting co-creation programs, and collaborating with mountain rescue teams to promote nature conservation and prevent accidents.

While offering excellent access just 90 minutes from Tokyo, this area is surrounded by adventure opportunities, including Mt. Naeba, Mt. Tanigawa, Mt. Hiraiwa, and the Kiyotsu River.
